In Mono-printing we’ll take a plastic acrylic plate prepared it for the press. Learn to transfer a prepared image onto the plate. Or create an image directly on the plate using etching ink. Several techniques will be discussed Such as painting on the plate, rolling areas of colors, or rolling the whole plate then subtracting areas. Learning to layer different colors over previous runs. Playing with ghosts images and masks. We’ll learn to set up the press, adjust pressure and create a registration layout page.
Materials:
Various paint brushes; stiff hog bristle, softer oil brushes. Cheap throw-away utility brushes.
Sticks, spackle, knives, and objects you might want to use as masking. Anything that might create a texture.
