Students, you have two options for getting to Whidbey! You can drive and take a short but beautiful ferry ride, or drive around the north end of the Island and arrive via a stunning historic bridge. Don’t want to drive? Simply fly into SeaTac airport and hop on a shuttle service directly to Coupeville.
From the South (also Sea-Tac Airport ): Take I-5 north, through Seattle to the Mukilteo/Whidbey Island turn-off, near Everett. Follow signs to the Mukilteo ferry terminal. The ferries run approximately every 30 minutes and the crossing takes about 15 minutes. When exiting the ferry, travel north on SR 525, and then on SR 20, 27 miles to Coupeville. Turn right at the light/pedestrian overpass onto N. Main Street. Turn left immediately onto Birch Street. The Pacific Northwest Art School is the second building on the left.
From the North: Take the Anacortes/Whidbey Island exit off I-5. Travel on SR 20 across Deception Pass Bridge , through Oak Harbor to Coupeville. Turn left at the light/pedestrian overpass onto N. Main Street. Turn left immediately onto Birch Street. The Pacific Northwest Art School is the second building on the left.
From the Peninsula: Take the Port Townsend/Coupeville ferry. When exiting the ferry, turn left. Continue to SR 20 and the traffic light/pedestrian overpass. Proceed straight across the highway onto No. Main Street. Turn left immediately onto Birch Street. The Pacific Northwest Art School is the second building on the left.
