In this intensive 3-day workshop, we will discover how applying shapes, light, space, texture and more will enhance your creativity. Taking these concepts and applying them to the story of an image is an essential part of a successful photographer. We will discover ways to use these concepts and attain new ways to develop your vision.

This workshop is for novice and amateur photographers looking to move to the next level as well as seasoned photographers looking to continue to develop their skills. This is a combination field and classroom workshop. Reviewing our work is essential. Presentations on these topics are included.

The bonus is to have the beauty of Whidbey Island as our location. We will explore the diverse opportunities found on Whidbey Island while learning these concepts and inspiring you to create meaningful images.

Instructor Bio: Jack Graham feels that the experience of immersing himself in the location is just as important as the photograph. As a photographer, his mission is to make images that depict his emotions and relationship to his surroundings and through the creative process. His prior life as a professional musician overlaps in the creative sense with his photography. It’s the whole experience that fascinates him. Negotiating the creative boundaries of a new image happens before the camera is even used. The places visited and friends made through photography enrich the process. Images are the end product of the process. Making art keeps him going. Artist first, photographer second.
