The dictionary defines reliquary as “a container or shrine for holy relics”. In this workshop we’ll create our own reliquaries using treasures we’ve collected, favorite photos, images of icons or favorite celebrities… there’s no limit to what you might want to include in yours!

First, we’ll delve into using different products to enhance your can(s) by rusting, aging or adding color and texture. Then we’ll choose and create the focus element of your reliquary(s) and get down to embellishing and adding depth, making your piece your very own sacred artwork! You may choose to mount your reliquary on a substrate of your choice or add magnets to create magical art for your fridge. A base can be added for shelf-sitting art as well. You are free to create as many reliquaries as time permits in this workshop.
