Basic knit/purl and cast on/off knowledge needed – if not sure how to do this, book separate time with me private lessons before the course begins

***This is not a Knitting 101 course***

Pattern: Basic top/down raglan pullover sweater, from Good Night Day – Kingston Sweater
Skills Learned: Casting on, knitting in the round, changing colors, knit, purl, increases, decreases, changing needle sizes, separating sleeves, picking up stitches, casting off, weaving in ends, blocking

Week One, 2 – 2.5 hours: casting on and knitting neckline, switching needles after neck is done, OPTIONAL: changing colors (basic striping), beginning increases for shoulders
Class Goal: Neckline done and shoulder increases start

Week Two, 2 – 2.5 hours: almost finished with increases, put sleeves on stitch holders and finish increases, start knitting body – learn how to finish with ribbing and cast off
Class Goal: shoulder increases done, separate sleeves and start body

Week Three, 2 – 2.5 hours: pick up underarm stitches, knit sleeve, decreases for sleeve, cast off + open help time if anyone got stuck on any step
Class Goal: knit sleeve, decreases and cast off first sleeve

Week Four, 2 – 2.5 hours: finish second sleeve if not done yet, more open help time, weaving in ends, blocking process (to be done at home),

Homework/done with class – repeat for second sleeve on their own if not done yet, weave in ends, block and wear with glory!
