This workshop in color will advocate a ‘mindful’ approach to the photographic process. To accomplish this, emphasis will be on becoming more fully aware of moments as they pass by. And in so doing provide photographers a greater sensitivity for potentially compelling subject matter. By minimizing thinking and judging new ways of seeing will be cultivated. Additionally, the virtues of improvisation and simplicity will be seen as adjuncts to ‘mindfulness’. We’ll also examine the role of stillness, wonder, and awe in opening the doors of creativity. Field excursions with the instructor will be conducted in Coupeville & vicinity.
These field sessions will furnish an opportunity for classroom evaluation. As well, one on one sessions with instructor Robert Stahl will be available to review material brought to the workshop (digital files and/or prints). Come join us for this program which will celebrate the beauty of the now!
