In this course, we are going to paint and collage fabulous floral arrangements from life. Whatever your level of ability, you CAN paint flowers! They are organic, they are forgiving, they are colorful FUN shapes that have been the source of joy for many occasions and for many years. Because it’s about creative color and simple shapes! Join me for some mixed media experimentation and gel plate instruction! Let’s paint together, let’s find joy in art, in college, in blooming, and In you!
This workshop is a comprehensive class in which students are taught a unique figurative collage technique. Students will learn hand painted papers and collage technique. Emphasis will be on developing form using light, shadow, and directional ripping– very similar to traditional painting techniques. No prior collage experience is necessary. Some painting experience would be helpful, but not imperative.
