Two-Day Introduction to Pastels
There is something appealing about experiencing the immediate satisfaction of color in its purest form. That is the glory of soft pastel and this class will walk you through the techniques unique to this painting medium. You will learn the differences in pastels and papers in a hands-on format. You will have the opportunity to complete three landscape paintings and learn how to make pastel paper.
Included in the workshop is a small 32-color pastel set for you to use in class that you get to take home at the end of the week! If you need an extra color, you will have the use of my personal pastels. With these tools you will complete your landscapes in class as you gain hands-on experience to embrace this exciting art form. All materials are supplied. If you already have your own cache of pastels, you are welcome to bring them along.
