In this workshop I will teach you the basics of how to dye bulk materials for felting using light-fast and wash-fast, high quality acid dyes. We will explore how various protein fiber materials (different qualities of wool, silk fiber and silk fabrics) absorb the dyes differently, and will discuss how to dye solid, shaded, and variegated colors. I will teach you how to dye pastel colors and deep colors, and we will learn how to mix and blend colors for best results.
