Our Covid19 cancellation policy will remain in effect through 2021 based on current guidelines and projections. The Pacific NorthWest Art School will be taking all measures to ensure student and faculty safety including smaller class sizes, ventilation (we have large garage doors in the classrooms we can open), mask-wearing, hand sanitation stations, and will comply with all Federal, State and local Covid recommendations.
Out of town students…did you know even though we are located on an island, there are several ways to easily get here? You can fly into SeaTac airport and take a shuttle service to Coupeville, or rent a car and drive here via a short but scenic ferry or take a stunning and scenic drive over an historic bridge. Now on display at two locations are some of nationally-renowned quilt artist Janet Steadman’s extraordinary modern art quilts. Additionally we offer year-round events, activities, lectures, presentations, gallery exhibitions, and an artbook lending library.
Programs
The Pacific NorthWest Art School, a 35-year-old not-for-profit visual arts education facility, is dedicated to bringing exceptional visual arts education to our community and beyond, by bringing nationally and internationally known faculty to our students. We are dedicated to excellence in the mediums of fiber arts, mixed media, painting, and photography. We provide a unique and nourishing artistic environment that celebrates the spirit of the arts. We strive to provide scholarships, and free and/or low-cost art workshop opportunities to our local community and beyond, in addition to our high caliber workshops.

Artists! Mark your calendars for our 2021 Whidbey Plein Air Paint Out! Save August 16-22, 2021 to come paint for four days on stunning Whidbey Island, followed by a Sale and Reception, including awards, and end it by a weekend long sale and exhibition of your work!
