Digital Fibers & Mixed Media
Wen Redmond, Instructor
Dates: August 16th – 18th, 2019 (9am-4pm)
Materials Fee: $45
Expand your vision of a digital print! Participants will be introduced to inkjet printing on fiber and mixed media substrates. The types of substrates that can be created are nearly limitless. Explore the possibilities! Based on Wen’s book- ‘Digital Fiber Art and Mixed Media Masterpieces’. The focus is on experimentation and construction of substrates! There are many ways to manipulate images, such as Photoshop, Gimp, Lightroom, Pic Monkey and the many apps available today. Manipulating images is not the focus of this workshop. Have 5-7 images sized to 4×6 and ready to print. In fact, you could easily do this workshop with just one image!
Do bring a printer, it will enable you to print at your own pace. You could share with a couple people. If sharing printers, bring your photos on a tested USB stick to plug in their computer. Please familiarize yourself with your printer before class so set-up is smooth.
