Dates: June 27th – 30th, 2019 (9am-4pm)
Materials Fee: $10
We are all heirs to a wealth of inner personal resources that can take shape and form through the creative process of our art making. This workshop is ideal for all who want to explore design in new ways and open a door into furthering their artistic expression.
Utilizing a blend of writing, drawing, paper cutting and fabric collage, participants will develop projects incorporating the various elements of design. We will work from our memory, observation, reflection and imagination. We will depart with a finished scrapbook rich with ideas and images. Emphasis will be placed on creating our workshop assignments made from your choice of materials brought from home or studio. The instructor will supply a selection of papers for the paper cutting projects.
This workshop will include slides for studying ethnic designs to the most contemporary and time for daily discussions on how we can better define, develop and sustain our art making.
A lively and inspiring workshop for beginners to advanced practitioners in any textile media!
