2017 CFA Juried Art Show

Juried Art Guidelines

  • Open to all Artists 18 yrs or older in all media
  • Artwork must be original in design and execution and a true representation of the artists work. No prints, except hand pulled graphics.
  • Works must have been completed within the last five years.  Work exhibited in past Coupeville Juried Art Exhibitions is not eligible.
  • 2-D artwork must be framed with adequate hangers or wire suitable to be hung with the grid wall hangers.  Canvas wrapped pieces must have finished sides. Maximum framed size 60″W X 48″H.
  • Art work of a three-dimensional nature must be accompanied by its own sturdy display stand if weight is over 40 pounds.
  • Wearable fiber art must be accompanied with its own display stand.
  • The CFA and Pacific North West Art School reserve the right to refuse any work they deem unsuitable.
  • Bring a one page Bio for gallery notebook.

Unframed Art – Non Juried

All work must be unframed and protected by shrink wrap or equivalent. Prints and originals are accepted. No limitations on Price. Entries must be labeled with artist’s name and price. These entries will be located in the Recreation Hall and will be available for sale during the gallery opening and wine tasting party, as well as during regular gallery hours.

Read Carefully

All persons representing the Coupeville Festival Association (CFA) and Pacific NorthWest Art School (PNWAS) in his/her capacity as an agent, volunteer, employee, or other person acting under the authority of CFA or PNWAS assumes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged artwork, related equipment or personal property. Any registered entry into the Juried Art Gallery or as unframed art constitutes an agreement to these terms by the participant.

The Pacific NorthWest Art School is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, 91-1444951. All fees and commissions may be tax deductible. Consult your tax adviser.

Art Gallery Reception

Art Gallery Reception

The Art Gallery Reception is held in the Coupeville Recreation Hall on Friday, August 11, from 7-10pm. The opening is a social event designed for patrons to stroll through and purchase fine art in multi-media presentations.  Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.  Tickets include commemorative glass and one glass of beer or wine.  An additional beverage is available for purchase. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Tickets are limited due to building capacity. Tickets can be purchased at the following locations from July 10 to August 10 prior to the festival or at the door on August 11.

Commission

All artwork must be for sale. A commission of 25% will be deducted from the sale price. Artists will receive remainder of sale price plus sales tax. Artist is responsible for reporting sales tax.

Entry Fees

Juried Art
A $10 nonrefundable entry fee per item.
A maximum of three entries per artist.

Unframed Art
A $20 nonrefundable fee, for up to 15 entries.

Awards

Ribbon and monetary awards will be given for Best of Show, People’s Choice and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in 2-D, 3-D and photography. Each accepted artist pays a reduced rate to the Art Gallery Reception of only $5. (Must be 21 years of age to attend Art Gallery Reception.)

Art Pickup

CFA and Pacific NorthWest Art School are not responsible for artwork left after Aug 14, 1 pm.
